Ardsley’s 125th Anniversary Photo Contest

On October 10, 2021, the Ardsley Historical Society hosted a photo contest at Ardsley’s 125th Anniversary Celebration. Contestants were asked two questions:

(1) What famous site in Ardsley was destroyed by this fire?

(2) What important building stands there now?

If their answers were correct, they would receive a free membership to the Ardsley Historical Society for one year.

The photo above shows the fire that destroyed the Lewisohn mansion in November, 1956. This property was later sold to the Ardsley School District and used for the new high school building.
